Welcome to Trutron!

Trutron delivers low volume, close tolerance precision parts and production tooling, primarily serving the aerospace and defense market. We are located in Troy, which is a northern suburb of Detroit, Michigan.

Trutron operates numerous three, four, and five-axis machining centers, plus a full complement of turning machines and precision grinding equipment, to manufacture precise metal and plastic components for its customers, many of which we have been serving for decades. We also specialize in sinker, wire and CNC hole drilling EDMing and offer CAD/CAM.

Founded in 1967, Trutron excels at producing parts and tools with difficult geometries, tight tolerances, challenging specifications and fine micro finishes. In November 2025, Truton was acquired by Compass Precision, becoming its 10th operating company.

Our shop has multiple certifications, including AS9100D with ISO 9001:2015. We operate under the umbrella of Compass Precision, a tightly integrated network of custom, precision CNC machine shops scattered across the United States and headquartered in Charlotte, NC.
