Company Hires Paul Wilhelm
CHARLOTTE, NC – March 2, 2020 – Compass Precision, a leading manufacturer of precision metal and engineered plastic components, announced Monday that it has hired Paul Wilhelm as its Vice President and CFO effective immediately.
“Paul is exactly the candidate we were seeking,” said Gary Holcomb, Compass Precision President & CEO. “He has a broad base of finance and accounting experience, most recently within a machining environment similar to ours. Paul is a motivated leader, comfortable working across all departments in manufacturing and capable of doing many things well. I am delighted to be working with him.”

Before joining the Compass team, Paul worked for Paragon Metals, Inc, initially as its Senior Controller before being promoted to CFO. Paragon machines tight-tolerance, precision-engineered metal components for automotive industry. Previously, he served in various accounting and finance roles for several other Charlotte-area manufacturing companies including IntraPac International, a specialty packaging company manufacturing plastic, laminate, tin and aluminum products. Paul has a BS in Business Administration and an MS in accounting, both from Georgia Southern University.

Compass Precision was formed in October 2019 upon the simultaneous acquisition of Tri-Tec Industries, LLC and Quality Products & Machine, LLC, both located in Charlotte, NC, as well as Advanced Machining & Tooling, LLC in nearby Salisbury, NC.
